If you want to do your own Xbox elite repair in the privacy of your own home, without needing to ship your Xbox Elite back to Microsoft for a month, or even longer, there is a way to do your own Xbox elite repair at home. Yep, I bought one of the black Xbox consoles just like you and it lasted just long enough for the warranty to go out.
There are several different things that can go wrong with any Xbox console. We paid too much for these things just to let them sit there and collect dust.
Follow these simple tips and you may be able to fix your Xbox without taking it apart.
1. Maybe the lens on the CD drive is a little dirty. Put one of those CD cleaners in and play it. Remember the old style CD cleaners with the little brush on the bottom of the disk. While the disk cleaner is spinning it will clean off the dirty lens. Won’t hurt to try it.
2. There could be dust scattered in the drive that the CD cleaner can’t get to. Blow a can of compressed air into the drive. Many people will tell you not to do this as it may harm your console because it may just evenly scatter the dust particles. The truth of it is, I have done it, and it worked for me.
3. If your console is suffering from the dreaded red ring of death error, just cut it off, let it sit idle for a few minutes and cut it back on. Yep, you could get lucky and maybe it will work for you. Sometimes your console just needs to be restarted to clear any errors.
If you don’t get any results after turning your xbox console off and back on, do the same thing by turning it off. But this time, unplug your console. Then disconnect all leads, cables and wires from your console. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Be patient and wait for the entire 30 minutes. Chances are when you turn it back on, it will be working properly.
Fixing your xbox at home is possible, but getting a few pointers to get you going may just be what you need. I wish you success in fixing your xbox.
