I got a wii for christmas and im just wondering how you put a gamecube game into the slot and are the any other console games that can go on a wii?
Thanks in advance! Merry Christmas!!
just place the gamecube game in the center or the disc slot with the silver/shiny side facing the left (if it is standing) If it is not standing then place it like a regular wii disc. To play you need a memory card and a gamecube controller.

you put it in the wii game slot (just like you would wii game) and only the wii and gamecube games can go in the wii

You can get the original game and download into the wii. I know a chinese lady who does that, so all you would need to buy are the controller. You can email me for the number if you like.

It’s simple - just slide it in, as you would a regular Wii game. And you can only use GameCube and Wii games in the console - though you can download retro games though the Wii Shop Channel.

You put a gamecube game in just like you would put any Wii game in. Just make sure your Gamecube disc is facing left for the Shiny Disc Part and right where the text is and everything (Shiny disc Part down and text part up if you have your Wii laying flat) it’s also better to insert the disc directly into the middle of the Wii Slot. And the Wii can not play any other console game. However you can Download games from the Wii Shop Channel with nintendo points. You can get Nintendo Points by buying a Nintendo Points card from just about any store with an electronics section for $19.99 or you can buy them directly from a Credit Card. The kinds of games the Wii Shop Channel has Is
NES Games (500 Nintendo Points) ($4.99)
SNES (800 Nintendo Points) ($7.99)
Nintendo 64 (1000 Nintendo Points) ($9.99)
Sega Master System (500 Nintendo Points) ($4.99)
Sega Genisis (800 Nintendo Points) ($7.99)
TurboGraftx-16 (600 Nintendo Points) ($5.99)
Neo Geo (900 Nintendo Points) ($8.99)
Commodore 64 (500 Nintendo Points) ($4.99)
Virtual Console Arcade (500 Nintendo Points) ($4.99)
And then there’s
WiiWare (500 to 2000 Nintendo Points) ($4.99 to $19.99)
Notes
- Every 100 Nintendo Points is $0.99 in real money
- No Refunds
- Your Wii must be connected to the Internet to Download
Anyway I hope I somehow helped and enjoy your Wii
