One of the secondary professions in WoW is Fishing. You can choose fishing as a secondary profession and by doing so sharpen your hunting skills and get access to fish all of the waters in the World of Warcraft.
Some items that you get through fishing can be consumed, while others can be cooked to further enhance their effects. If you’re a hunter, you can use your catch to feed your pets. Reagents can also be found through fishing, and so can treasure chests.
To be able to fish you need to first level your character up to level 5. You’ll then need to find a fishing trainer. Fishing trainers are located next to the water where you start fishing and each race has its own unique trainer.
You can find trainer located at various other spots throughout the game, but the following locations are where you must begin.
Taurens start their fishing in the lake due north of Bloodhoof Village, Orc’s and Troll’s start in the sea which is located south of Sen’jin, Humans around Goldshire, Dwarves and Gnomes just north of Brownell Village and the Undead start fishing in the lake to the east of Brill.
There are 3 different places a Night Elf can start from. The first is the water around Darnassus, then you’ve got the lake near Dolenaar, and they can also start in the sea near Rut’Theran Village.
If you have an experienced character, but are new to fishing you can start anywhere you like.
Some suggest evolving your fishing ability slowly in line with your characters level rises. If you max out your fishing ability at 150 when you’re level 10, you’ll be able to use the fishing pole as a powerful weapon.
In comparison to other professions in WoW, fishing is an extremely easy one to learn, the main hurdle may be finding the patience to spend time fishing. Fishing is an extremely useful profession and once your skill level is high, you can make massive amounts of gold by fishing in the waters of Azshara. If you take the time to become a master of fishing, you will get massive rewards.
