Based on the independently released “Best of Backyard Wrestling” video series, Backyard Wrestling the game features violent, over-the-top action designed to appeal to both hardcore wrestling fans as well as fighting enthusiasts. Players begin the game as a lowly wrestler trying to advance in the rankings to achieve the coveted title of The King of Hardcore. The career mode is more than simply defeating a rival, however, as there are specific objectives that must be completed along the way. This often involves using the environment to one’s advantage.
This environment is the key element that separates Backyard Wrestling from others in the genre. Since wrestlers are no longer forced to do battle inside a confined ring, the action takes place within open, multi-tiered environments featuring a wide assortment of interactive objects. Players can freely roam around the locales to explore new ways to harm their rival. This could mean leaping off ladders, rooftops, or cars to inflict damage as well as bludgeoning them with a street sign, baseball bat, or tire iron. Wrestlers can smash through houses, throw their opponent into a tree, and interact with pedestrians.
Pedestrians serve another function in addition to distracting opponents. If players decide to take the easy way out and use the same move over and over again, the crowd will show their displeasure by booing and then throwing harmful items at the offending wrestler. Another unusual feature is the lack of a traditional damage or health meter. Players will be able to tell the extent of injuries received by a wrestler simply by his appearance, with location-specific damage modeling affecting a character’s movement and actions during the bout. Superficial cuts will turn into open wounds, and blood will start flowing freely from severely injured areas. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

Put together by compiler Brent James as part of an impressive threepackage survey (each set is a double disc) that traces Australian pop from the 1960s through the 1980s, this second volume is almost as much fun as the first, and includes some wonderful tracks like Sherbert’s “Summer Love,” the Ferrets’ “Don’t Fall in Love,” the newtoCD single mix version of Hush’s “Glad All Over,” and the also newtoCD original version of Daddy Cool’s “Come Back Again.” It’s a lot of fun. Think long summer day and you just got zapped back two decades into the past. So you turn your radio on. Welcome to Sidney.

Gameplay from Jumping Flash on the Sony Playstation (PS1). Retro Gaming.
This is not a review, walkthrough, playthrough, or demonstration of my playing ability.
It’s simply a quick demonstration of the game so that anyone not familiar with these old games can see what it looks like.
It’s also here so that I can embed it, along with most of the games in my collection, on my website (see link above).
Any opinions or comments I make regarding these games should largely be taken with a pinch of salt.
They are usually based on my first impressions after a very brief play.

If you’re looking for Cisco training and you haven’t worked with routers before, what you need is a CCNA. This program has been designed to teach men and women looking to have practical know how on routers. Commercial ventures who have a number of branches use routers to join up their various different networks of computers to keep in contact with each other. The Internet also is based on huge numbers of routers.
You might end up joining an internet service provider or a large commercial venture that’s on many locations but still needs contact. Both types of jobs command good salaries.
The CCNA qualification is the right level to aim for; don’t let some salesperson talk you into starting with the CCNP. With experience, you’ll find out if this level is required. Should that be the case, you’ll have the knowledge you need for the CCNP - which is quite a hard qualification to acquire - and mustn’t be entered into casually.
Some training companies are still using a now out-dated method of training - classroom days. Usually touted as a major benefit, if you talk to a student who has had to attend a few, you’ll find them listing some or all of these:
* A lot of driving back and forth from the training centre - sometimes quite a distance away.
* If you’re working, then Monday to Friday workshops cause problems at work. Typically you are facing 2-3 days at a time as well.
* Let’s not disregard lost holiday time. Often, we get 4 weeks annual leave. If half is given up to classes, then we aren’t going to be doing much vacationing.
* ‘In-Centre’ workshop days often get fully subscribed quite quickly, giving us the only option of a slot that doesn’t really suit.
* Tension can run high inside the classroom where the right pace for one student is not the same as another.
* The cost of travel - driving to and from the training centre together with several days accommodation can mount up every time you have to go. Assuming just 5-10 centre-days at a cost of 35 pounds for an over-night room, plus 40 pounds petrol and food at 15 pounds, we find an extra four to nine hundred pounds of hidden costs that we now have to fund.
* Don’t risk the chance of letting yourself be overlooked for a lift up the ladder or pay-rises just because you’re retraining.
* Asking questions in front of other class-mates often makes us feel uncomfortable. Surely, at some point, you’ve avoided asking a question just because you didn’t want to look foolish?
* Don’t forget, workshops are pretty much impossible to attend, where you work or live away for days at a time.
Why don’t you simply watch and study with industry specialists one-on-one through videoed modules, working on them at a time that’s convenient for you and you alone. You can study from home on your desktop PC or why not in the garden on a laptop. Any questions that pop up, just utilise the 24×7 Support (that should come with any technical program.) You don’t have to worry about any note-taking - all the lessons and background info are laid out on a plate. If you need to cover something again, just go for it. While this won’t take away every little difficulty, it unquestionably reduces stress and eases things. You also have reduced travel, hassle and costs.
The market provides an excess of job availability in IT. Arriving at the correct choice for yourself is a mammoth decision. Working through a list of IT job-titles is a complete waste of time. Surely, most of us don’t even know what our own family members do for a living - so what chance do we have in understanding the intricacies of a particular IT career. Achieving any kind of right answer will only come through a meticulous study across many changing factors:
* Your individual personality and interests - what work-oriented areas please or frustrate you.
* Are you aiming to realise a specific aim - like working from home as quickly as possible?
* How highly do you rate salary - is it of prime importance, or does job satisfaction rate further up on the scale of your priorities?
* With so many ways to train in Information Technology - you’ll need to achieve some background information on what sets them apart.
* Our advice is to think deeply about the level of commitment that you will set aside for your education.
To be honest, it’s obvious that the only real way to seek advice on these matters is via a conversation with an experienced advisor that understands computing (and specifically it’s commercial needs and requirements.)
Many people question why traditional degrees are less in demand than the more commercial certifications? The IT sector now recognises that for an understanding of the relevant skills, the right accreditation supplied for example by Microsoft, CompTIA, CISCO and Adobe is closer to the mark commercially - for much less time and money. The training is effectively done through honing in on the skills that are really needed (alongside an appropriate level of associated knowledge,) rather than covering masses of the background ‘padding’ that degrees in computing are prone to get tied up in - to pad out the syllabus.
Imagine if you were an employer - and you required somebody who had very specific skills. Which is the most straightforward: Trawl through loads of academic qualifications from several applicants, trying to establish what they know and what commercial skills have been attained, or choose a specific set of accreditations that specifically match what you’re looking for, and then select who you want to interview from that. You’ll then be able to concentrate on getting a feel for the person at interview - instead of long discussions on technical suitability.
